Dashboard widgets can temporarily fail to display correctly after an update to the monitoring dashboard user interface. For example, the widgets may not be aligned properly, or some widgets may not appear correctly. This can be due to a stale browser cache.
What You Might See
- Your dashboard appears empty.
- The Widget Settings panel shows no widgets.
- Widgets you previously added seem to be missing.
Why Does This Happen?
This behavior can occur when your browser is still using old, cached data after a dashboard user interface update. In some cases, the stored browser data conflicts with the latest widget configuration format, which prevents widgets from displaying correctly.
This behavior has been commonly observed in Microsoft Edge in a regular browsing session (not InPrivate/Incognito).
How Do You Restore Your Dashboard?
To restore your dashboard:
- Clear your browser cache and site data for the application. Follow browser-specific instructions to clear the cache and site data.
- Refresh the page or reload the application.
- Add or reconfigure your dashboard widgets, if needed.
Once the cache is cleared, the widgets will display and function normally.
